　　In the era of information and technology, the Internet plays an important role in our society. However, people’s opinions are still divided on this point. Those who are in favor of the Internet claim that it has a lot of advantages. Firstly, information searching is no longer a tough job with the help of all kinds of search engines. Secondly, we can contact friends or business partners via e-mails or software such as Internet Meeting and Yahoo Messenger.

　　Those who are opposed to the Internet hold that its disadvantages are numerous. In the first place, using the Internet costs considerable time, money and energy, especially for those with poor self-control. In the second place, increasing young people are indulged in online games and unhealthy information, which are extremely harmful to their development.

　　In my opinion, its pros outweigh the cons. The past twenty years have witnessed the fast development of the Internet along with the national economy. A brighter future is awaiting us if we make good use of the Internet.

　　Nowadays, the Internet has become very common in our daily life, in that we can surf the Internet everywhere anywhere by computer or mobile. However, the debate on the pros and cons of the network has never stopped. Some people say that the network is a platform for information sharing. Due to it, we have a convenient channel for the dissemination of information and access to information. But some others argue that some people commit a crime by the Internet, so we should stay away from the Internet. From my point of view, I prefer to agree to the former view.

　　现在，网络在我们的生活中已经很普通了，我们可以随时随地地利用电脑和手机上网。但是，关于网络的利弊的争论从来没有停止过。有的人说网络是分享信息的平台，有了网络，我们就有了传播信息和获取信息的渠道。但是，另外一部分人却说有的人会通过网络犯罪，我们应该远离网络。至于我个人的意见，我同意前者的观点。

　　There are some reasons accounting for my point. Firstly, with network, we can exchange information frequently and conveniently. In the information area, information is wealth. In many cases, whether we can succeed in something, it depends on how much information we get. In addition, except for its serious functions, network is a good tool to entertain. Preciously, we only have TV or game machines to have fun, but now we have a functional platform for fun. On the Internet, we can watch TV programs and movies, or we can play online games as well as chat with friends freely, which is a good way to relax.

　　以下的原因可以支撑我的观点。首先，有了网络，人们可以频繁、便利地交换信息。在信息时代，信息就是财富。在很多时候，我们是否能做成一件事，很大程度上取决于我们获取的信息的多少。此外，除了这样稍显严肃的功能之外，网络也是娱乐的好方式。以前，我们只有电视或游戏机可以娱乐，但有了网络，就有了一个多功能的娱乐平台。我们可以再网上看电视节目、电影，或者玩网络游戏，也可以自由地和朋友聊天，这是一种很好的放松的方式。

　　In short, there is no denying that the Internet has its own disadvantage, but I think its advantages far overweight its disadvantages that we can make good use of those good but avoid those bad.

　　The usage of Internet becomes one of the most controversial topics in the society. As a college student, I believe Internet is beneficial to me more than the way it harms me. There are many advantages for using Internet.

　　因特网的使用成为一个社会中最有争议的话题。作为一名学生，我认为互联网是对于我是利大于弊的。使用互联网有很多优点。

　　First, I can best use my time to find information online instead of going to different libraries. Also, the information can be dated back in decades ago. It is very helpful to use those information as reference and historical proof. In the library, it is hard to find so much "old" information. Another advantage to use Internet is that I can stay home and have a lecture online. It is much more convenience to me because I can stay warm to have class in the winter time instead of spending two hours on the bus and physically attend class. In addition, Internet provides me a better way to communicate with my friends and professors. I can get response from my professor in a few minutes instead of waiting outside of his door for hours. Some of my friends are living in a foreign countries, I can simply just drop him an email whenever I can and get a message from him very quick. It is much better than waiting for letters. Also, the email will not lose while the letter might be losing in the process of delivery.

　　However, there are also disadvantage of using Internet. For example, I might spend too much time on the Internet to concentrate on my study. Also, there is a chance that I am cheated because of the Internet purchasing. Last, Internet has lots of information, both helpful and harmful. There might be too much tempatation that I will access some of the harmful information I can on the Internet.

　　但是，也有使用互联网也是有缺点的。例如，我可能会花过多的时间在互联网上而无法专注于我的学习。同时，因为网购我也可能有被受骗的机会。最后，网上有大量的信息，既有有益的也有有害的。在互联网上可能有太多的诱惑，我会获得一些有害信息。

　　Even though the usage of Internet has both positive and negative effect to me, I still consider Internet is a symbol of technology development. I believe I can use the Internet very well as long as I know how to control myself.

　　即使使用互联网对我既有积极的也有消极的影响，我仍然认为互联网是技术发展的象征。我相信只要我知道如何控制自己，我能很好地使用互联网。
