　　3. 极大提升信息检索的效率。电子图书馆是一套先进的信息管理系统，人们只需要输入关键字和点击鼠标，它在数秒之内就能够完整地，准确地分析，查找，归类和排序相关的信息资源，这大大节约了人们在数据查询上的时间。相反，在传统图书馆，人们不得不花费大量时间和精力在书架之间游荡，或是搬运图书。

　　4. 环保。电子图书馆实现了信息的无纸化存储。这大大减少了对于纸张和工业印刷的需求，最终，它保护了森林，也减少了污染。

　　IT industry has made too many revolutionary changes in all aspects of the society,and the public education is not exempt from this trend. Personally, I stronglybelieve that the Internet-based library, or electronic library, will take theplace of the real-world library in this century, and my reasons will beexplored as below.

　　Thisassertion is fundamentally right, because of the incomparable advantages ofadvanced computer technology. Firstly, the e-library can bring greatconvenience to the audience. Obviously, online technology eradicates thephysical and time limits, and makes the e-library universally at all times andplaces. For example, people can have an easy and comfortable access to thee-library by using the Internet at home, which saves the time and energy thatcould be wasted in going out to the real library, or standing in the long queuein front of the loan desk.

　　The second reason of supporting e-library is about the costs. Compared with a reallibrary whose operation relies on big multi-storey buildings, complicatedsecurity systems and hundreds of administrators, the running of an e-library ismuch cheaper and simpler, because all it needs are no more than a small roomwith few servers. That is to say, the wide application of e-library cansubstantially save the land, budget of education and social jobs.

　　The third, and perhaps the most important reason why the substitution of e-libraryfor the physical one is desirable is its efficiency. E-library is an advancedinformation management system. What readers have to do is to enter key wordsand click the mouse, and this system can automatically realize the location, analysis,filtering and presentation of all relative information and data from millionsof collected books, in just few seconds.

　　All in all, my opinion is advantages brought by new computer and Internettechnology, from the convenience to cheapness to high efficiency of informationsearching, provides good reasons for modern people to embrace the e-library andabandon tangible ones.(327 words)
